I got this recipe from a friend who brought over a meal after I had Audrey. It has been a favorite ever since.
Ingredients:
2 pkg crescent rolls
1pkg (8oz) cream cheese
2 tbsp butter, melted
4 cups cooked chicken, diced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup of milk
1-1/2 tbsp minced onion
2 tbsp pimiento, minced
Directions:
Blend together cream cheese and melted butter. Add chicken, salt pepper milk onion and pimiento. Mix well. Unroll crescent dough leaving rolls in 8 inch rectangles, sealing perforations. Spoon chicken mixture into middle of each rectangle. Bring corners to middle, pinch and seal all edges. Bake on un-greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until just browned.
Makes 8 "bundles".

Intriguing! So do you blend the butter and cream cheese with a blender (I know, I'm sorry, that's sounds terribly stupid, but I still feel compelled to ask)? :)
Lorriane - I use my mixer to blend everything together. The cream cheese and butter first and then the rest of the ingredients. I also sometimes put the chicken in the food processor to "shred" it instead of dicing it. In that case I use the food processor for all the mixing. Does that make sense? I should have added the cream cheese needs to be soft...I assume to much when I type out the recipes. :)
I am already in love with this recipe. Sounds delish!
Makes perfect sense! Thanks for the helpful tips. :)
Here's my silly question....what are crescent rolls? I don't think we have those in Singapore! I wonder if I could use spring roll wrappers or wonton wrappers.... This sounds really good - must try it!
